The problem
Why pet odor sticks
Pet smells mostly live in fabrics: the dog’s blanket, the sofa throw, the cat’s favourite cushion, the car seat after a trip to the beach. Air fresheners only scent the air around them, so the smell keeps coming back.
To really freshen a pet corner, treat the fabrics themselves and keep the air fresh in between.
Ventilation matters too: the US EPA explains that inadequate ventilation lets indoor pollutants build up. Airing out daily keeps pet odor from settling in.
Quick answer
To get rid of pet odor, wash pet bedding regularly and refresh it between washes with Fabric Fresh, which removes the smell of urine and pets from fabrics. For the room itself, use Absorber Spray, which tackles the odor before it adds scent.
